The last week in June would not be the same without a visit to Lakewinds. We already have it on the calendar for next year! Steve and Jane have created an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that beckons the weary traveler to shed the stresses of everyday life. Turn off the cell phone and the computer...find a good book and relax in the garden and take a dip in the pool. Enjoy lively conversation around the breakfast table while you indulge in gourmet delights. Sit on the veranda and sip sherry before heading out to dinner. In the evening see a play, or three or four. "Journey's End", "Gypsy", and "The Constant Wife" were excellent this season. Rick and Jerry, Michigan

Your bed and breakfast and service exceeded our expectations. We did not know what to expect in a bed and breakfast, but it was wonderful.
We appreciated your very warm welcome and when we saw our room we were speechless. We never had seen such a beautiful bedroom. Especially the small details we appreciated and the view over the Golf course. You offered us a delicious breakfast and the other guests were very friendly to. Jane and I had the pleasure of hosting a small dinner party for Sam Twining, the 9th generation head of the famous Twining Teas. He recited a short poem that a customer gave to one of his ancestors in the late 1700's. Here it is.
"It seems in some cases,

For Twining the tea man,
Who lives in the Strand,
