A sumptuous, gourmet breakfast for two is complimentary. Breakfast at Lakewinds is typically at 9AM, and starts the morning in style. Our Sheraton-style table from the 1930's sits a full house comfortably and sets the scene for meeting old friends and making new ones. If desired and pre-arranged, a continental breakfast can be served in your room.
Our breakfast consists of 3 courses: fruit, hot breads and a main course. Of course, juice, water, coffee and tea are also served.
Breakfast at Lakewinds is a wonderful start to your day. Served in the elegant dining room by your hosts, Steve and Jane, breakfast will be bountiful, nutritious and interesting. Wherever possible, we choose the freshest produce and products from our many local orchards and farms. We cook and bake from scratch.
A typical breakfast always includes hot beverages, juices, fresh and local seasonal fruit, cereal and yoghurt, and home baked breads and muffins.
The highlight of the breakfast changes daily and may include one of the following:
Leek and Sage Quiche with Homemade Fruit Relish
Belgian Waffles with Fresh Fruit, Toasted Almonds, Maple Syrup and Chocolate Drizzle
Multi-grain Banana Pancakes with Fresh Blueberries
Fritatta with Corn, Peppers, Cheddar Cheese and Salsa
Eggs Benedict with Smoked Ham and Arugula
Baked Cinnamon-Apple Pancakes with Blackberries
Sausages, bacon, or smoked ham are served separately and on the side.
After breakfast your hosts will be there to help you plan your day, whether it be restaurant reservations, antiquing, wine touring, bike riding, golfing, choosing a play or helping answer questions you may have about this wonderful place we call home.
We are happy to accommodate special needs diets including food allergies and aversions, vegetarian, vegan, low cholesterol, low fat, gluten free, low carbohydrate or lactose free. Just give us the "heads up" when you book.
Curried almonds are a favourite with our guests. They go out with the sherry before dinner!

This easy breakfast starter is refreshing and tangy. It is easy to prepare and looks great on a black plate. Terrific with Lime-Basil Sorbet.
